Happy Thanksgiving!
Last year, I barely managed to pull myself to the Thanksgiving table. Yet, we managed to find some humor in the day. (Ironically, I will be thankful for ZOPHRAN, again this year!! Maybe I should be thankful for the scientist who discovered that it is a cure for nausea!) That’s what it is all about. Finding something to laugh about when all else looks dark.
This Thanksgiving I am surrounded by all of Big B’s family. That is a miracle in itself, as it has never happened in 17 years of marriage! Yes, there will be drinks! Ha! Usually, it’s babies that bring families together. But…well…you know. Sometimes, it’s other things. Suffice it to say that my family is rallying and coming at Christmas. My cousin is even flying in from Peru! Trust that I hope, pray and believe that we will have many more holidays together. But it brings me joy to see Lil B surrounded by the love of cousins she has only met once before at a funeral!

Thank you to ALL who are sending prayers, cards, emails, texts, jokes, pictures, gifts, etc. While I may not respond to each of you, please know that you are all appreciated on this day and everyday!
So when you are stuffed, the dishes are piled in the sink, the football games have come and gone, and you are officially sick of ALL of your relatives, remember to…find the humor!

I am so glad you are surrounded by family. I know it makes your Mom and Dad feel reassured that they are with you. I can imagine that Lil B is having a great time with her cousins. It is times like these that our children need to make them feel connected and whole. Enjoy your special Thanksgiving.

On this Thanksgiving I am personally finding the humor in the photo of the girls in the matching 80s tops – LOVE IT! [Note: En Vogue called and they want their 80s look back. WINK (and a side-eye from you)…but I digress.]
Actually, this message so reminds me of myself at that age and how much I looked forward to seeing my favorite cousins. I honestly would have passed out with joy to be dressed alike, too. However, by age 13 I would have been mortified to rock the same look – but this ain’t about me. Enjoy this moment for the rare and precious gift that it is. Here’s to making holidays everyday and of course to many, many more.

I had to study this pic for a very long time to figure out which of these cuties was my LIl B ….. You’ll have to tell me later who the others are. I’m so happy you had a blessed Thanksgiving Day with your family. Please give the Riley’s a shout out from Wayne and me. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen them. We are looking forward to our visit at Christmas. ‘ Can hardly wait God is so good in His own way to make all of this possible. Enjoy your family.

Yesterday brought back many memories of the four of us together on Thanksgiving in Philadelphia. You and Chuck use to kid me because you said Thanksgiving was one of the few times you got a chance to eat in the dining room. What memories. But Thanksgiving yesteday will become a part of our collections of memories. Your dad and I drove about 90 miles, boarded a vintage train in Fort Myers Fl with 2OO other Floridians ate a turkey(?) dinner, and tried to solve a murder mystery, spent the night in a motel and returned home this morning. It was different and enjoyable. But it was no substitute for the wonderful times we’ve spent together with you, Brendon, Blayre, Chuck, DeLesia, Jordan, Arin, and Chuck, Chuck. We love you.
